I'm not a good man, and I've never pretended to be. I don't believe in goodness or God or any happy ending that isn't paid for in advance.

What do I believe in? Money. Sex. Macallan 18.

They have words for men like me - playboy. Womanizer. Skirt chaser. My brother used to be a priest, and he only has one word for me: sinner.

The Best😍😍😍😍

I loved this book!! I loved that Zenny is a black woman but a big deal wasn’t made about it. I’m a black woman with a white husband and love has no color. And Jacob Morgan...omg...I love you!! He is my favorite narrator and I’ve listened to most of his audibles Great narrator and a great story.
Rock those Bells!!!

Good Story

Thought this story was better than the 1st. It was sad and emotional and I found myself rooting for the sinner. Sean is a very likeable flawed guy. Zachary "Jacob Morgan" Webber was excellent as usual. Love, love, love his work.

The best

How I even begin to review a book so smart, emotional, intense and yet so incredibly filthy?

Sean Bell’s inner dialogue takes you on a journey through his mind that compels you to rethink your own takes on religion and faith. The topics that are presented and laid out are so intriguing and keeps your mind and your heart working and involved in a way that makes this book impossible to turn off.

But it would be impossible not to mention the incredibly dirty mind that Sierra Simone has. The chemistry between Sean and Zenny was so palpable that you can feel the tension. You can feel the build. This series toys with sin and I don’t know if it’s the authors words or the underlying wrongness, but the dirty, dirty scenes were overwhelming and so body melting that not even a/c can cool the desire during this listen.

The intense love I have for this book is SO DUCKING HARD. LIKE A ROCK HARD. THE LOVE IS HARD PEOPLE. I want to throw my phone against a wall and I want to cradle it against my chest. The feelings are so intense. I can’t take it.

Jacob Morgan is beyond the perfect narrator. He takes over Sean Bell and becomes him, his inflections and tone makes the character come to life. Not to mention his ability to talk dirty so easily. Although Morae Brehon was not in the book so much, her small attributes were perfect.

I didnt like it at first...

**Warning: there are spoilers**

NARRATION - Jacob Morgan... This man can do no wrong in my ears! He is the perfect Sean Bell.
Morae Brehon... Although shd had a small part in the narration, she delivered!

STORY - So 3/4 in the story, I started disliking it. It was slow. Yes, there were layers but I didnt feel the depth and I started to feel bored. I was disappointed that she wasnt really a nun and it lost some of the taboo factor for me. The sex was hot but it was drawn out. I mean 1 whole chapter of him performing oral.... ehhh okayyy... BUT!! There was great build up through out the first 3 quarters of the book.
The last quarter of the book..... It killed me! I cried. All the things that happened on the last quarter made up for everything. My heart broke for Sean and Zenny but especially for Sean. He is such a well written character. Zenny is well written too, smart and loving and so so brave. But Sean... His inner dialogues about himself, his mom and the “church of cancer”, his relationship with God, about sex and God, about Zenny – LOVE IT ALL!
The part about his mom.. It felt so real and personal and now I know why.... Thank you Sierra Simone for writing a great book even tho some parts hit close to home! Im sure it wasnt easy but you wrote it anyway! Thank you!

Yes, it’s definitely worth a credit!

Thought Provoking and Powerful

First let me just say, Sierra Simone NEVER disappoints!!!
Sean Bell is struggling with his faith and with a past that makes him question the world around him.
Zenny has just grown into a woman who has placed her life in the hands of God and the faith in which she holds at the top of her priorities.
There is not only a significant age difference between Sean and Zenny but she is also his friends sister and completely innocent where he is matured.
But there is no denying the chemistry and Sierra Simone gives it to you from the internal dialogue through Sean and the unmistakable reactions the pair have when they come together.
This book is HOT HOT HOT! But it’s also very deep and takes you on a journey of Sean’s self discovery of healing and forgiveness.
The writing is flawless. The characters are beautiful and the plot is original and thought provoking.
I listened to this on audio and narrator, Jacob Morgan gives a performance with so much soul poured into Sean’s character. It’s absolutely incredible and a MUST listen!!

Jacob Morgan made everything exponentially hot!!!!

Jacob Morgan made everything exponentially hot! Sean Bell's lascivious knowledge makes listening to the story worth getting "drenched."

Christ, cancer and sexual awakenings

This book was heavier than I normally like in my romance. Like MC Sean, I prefer rom-coms or frothy bodice rippers; I don’t like it when the angst and bloodiness lasts the whole book. It also has a combination of plots that I normally eschew, like a virginal gal, drawn out emotional trauma due to mama Bell’s cancer, and deep thoughts on life and religion. Also, the ratio of sex to story tips way into sex as Sean introduces Zenni into the pleasures, slowly, tenderly, and with deliberate intention.

And yet, this story worked for me. There was just enough humor, family love, and sweet revelation of Sean’s true self to balance the ache. What a torrid, beautiful love story.

So Timely!

This book explores faith and religion through an incredible love story, of which the circumstances are very timely. Jacob Morgan is a fabulous narrator! Lots of depth in these characters.
