Priest #2

Sinner

Rate this book
I'm not a good man, and I've never pretended to be. I don't believe in goodness or God or any happy ending that isn't paid for in advance. In fact, I've got my own personal holy trinity: in the name of money, sex, and Macallan 18, amen.

So when the gorgeous, brilliant Zenny Iverson asks me to teach her about sex, I want to say yes, I really do. Unfortunately, there are several reasons to say no—reasons that even a very bad man like myself can't ignore.

1. She's my best friend's little sister.
2. She's too young for me. Like way too young.
3. She's a nun. Or about to be anyway.

But I want her. I want her even with my best friend and God in the way, I want to teach her and touch her and love her, and I know that makes me something much worse than a very bad man.

It makes me a sinner.

Sinner is a standalone companion to Priest about Father Bell's brother Sean. You do not have to read Priest or Midnight Mass to read Sinner.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2! Sinner (stand-alone). A sinner meets a saint & while they seduce & fuck each to oblivion they must confront their relationships with family, each other & God!

“God, the fucking irony of a sinner loving a nun.”

Books in series are stand-alones though most enjoyed if read in order:
Book 1: Priest
Book 1.5: Midnight Mass
Book 2: Sinner

Sinner (stand-alone) is manwhore and venture Capitalist Sean Bell’s story of how he for the third time in his life was confronted with the complexity of his relationship and lack thereof with God.

“I shouldn’t be swelling and leaking as I think about her showing me her cunt that she’s promised to keep pure and untouched for her church.”

Upon meeting a sexy too young girl at a fundraiser his life is turned upside down when he discovers not only is she fifteen years his junior, she is also the baby-sister of his best friend. But worst of all she is a postulant about to embark on becoming a nun.

“I love to fuck. I love to make women come. I love to see their snug, little cunts, I love to taste them, and push my big cock into them until they stretch.”

College senior and postulant Zenobia Iverson, Zenny aka Zenny -bug used to crush on Sean, but he barely noticed her. Wanting to make sure she makes the right decision she makes Sean a proposition: Seduce her, in every aspect of the word; sexually, worldly and carnally.

“Does this little nun need to be fucked?” I growl into her ear as I pin her against the wall.”

The story follows them as Sean seduces and corrupts Zenny with tons of filthy sex (in sacred places). It’s a journey of sexual exploration, self-reflection and growth as they are compelled to tackle family, shame, fear, mortality, revenge, guilt, self-worth, lust, purpose, truth, legacy, divinity and love.

Seven words to describe Sean Bell: Dirty-talker, reflective, nurturing, easy-going, possessive, conflicted and lost.

Seven words to describe Zenobia Iverson, Zenny aka Zenny -bug: Stubborn, independent, lonely, conflicted, selfish, immature and private.

Sinner, told from mostly from Sean’s POV, is a candid glimpse into an enigma of a man who has struggled, since a tragedy, in his relationship with god. It’s a mixture of May-December and star-crossed lovers featuring two lonely souls confused by life and purpose. It ends a year later with compromise, forgiveness, peace and love.

Erotic! Thought-provoking! Heart-warming!

“I’m acutely painfully aware that she’ll never be mine. She will always be God’s.”

Get ready to SIN with Sean Bell. Hope you like your book boyfriends super dirty!

“I’m a dirty man, sweetheart. I fuck strippers. I’ve taken conference calls with another man’s wife sucking me off under my desk. You think I’m ashamed of my cock? That I’m ashamed of wanting to fuck? Nothing’s further from the truth.”

Playboy. Womanizer. Skirt Chaser. Sinner. YES. PLEASE!

Add to that an age gap. Oh damn!!!

Jesus. Jesus. What has Sean Bell done to me? I think I've died and gone to heaven. How did I die? FROM LUST. That's what. I'm in lust with Sean Bell. And I'm not even sorry. Not one bit.

I.

DIED.

FROM.

LUST.

I'm still dying really. Over this book. Over the characters. Over this man. I died over this wonderfully flawed character who stole my heart and my soul, and well my freaking loins too.

I loved Zenny and Sean together. LOVED. THEM. *bites fist* The sex scenes were so hot, I burned right the hell up!! Be prepared to have several cold showers. I loved their banter and their friendship I really couldn't get enough of them. My heart literally squeezed in my chest and I couldn't stop smiling. It was a beautiful thing. Of course my poor heart also broke for these two. How was this going to work? A sinner and a nun? How were they ever going to get their happily ever after? Just be ready to FEEL all the things for these two! Sierra Simone has given us a real gift in Sean and Zenny's story.

So who the hell is Sean Bell? He's a deliciously dirty, fun and perfectly imperfect man. He's a sinner after my own heart and I am not going to apologize for sinning with him. I loved every minute of it. I am telling you this man is EVERYTHING. This story is everything! It will get you right in the feels and then some! I hope you don't think your heart will be safe when you read Sinner because Sean is going to demolish it. Well, and other parts of your body too.

Pray for us sinners.

Stunning and poignant and sexy and devastating. A familiar trope stands out in the hands of Sierra Simone. The themes of sex and God that were explored in Priest are reexamined from different characters in different ways, and it's so breathtaking and mindful, you'll never want it to end.

I can’t even with how AMAZING Sierra Simone writes such beautiful stories. It’s a true gift and I’m so blown away...once again.

My husband said I was an “emotional wreck” while reading this book. I was grinning one chapter and crying like a loon the next. You know it’s good when you can’t contain your emotions. Those are always the very best books! I felt all the feels! But Sinner is so much more than that. It’s a statement - a discussion starter. A romance that doubles as a view of religious and social issues. It’s brilliant, brave, and flawless.

I was immediately drawn into the narrative and could not put it down until the very last word. Spectacular! Smart, sexy, and utterly brilliant! YOU NEED THIS IN YOUR LIFE!
Highly recommended.

"I know how to make sin feel like heaven."

I'm personally shipping holy water to anyone who reads this, alongside a thorough description on how to take the coldest damn shower before bringing your ass to church.
Because fuck if this book was too hot (hot damn)

_____________

Hi, my name is Alex and I will be doing the honest girl thing
"If you’d told me you wanted it, I would have spent the rest of the night with my mouth on your cunt.' Her eyes widen and I remember we’re in a place run by nuns."

Sinner had some powerful writing and some steamy scenes. Man, can this lady write!
I remember being this enthralled with her prose when I read American Queen, it took me back to how much her chapters can be panty droppers.

This is a story about a sinner and a nun.
Interested?
Me. Too.

The plot line was so unique and I was so ready for everything to be spectacular and while it was I felt like it could have done more. The execution felt very translucent sometimes, like the author was trying too hard to show the taboo rather than focus on letting the reader feel the taboo. Do you get what I mean?

description

There was certain elements of instant attraction and lust, but it worked!! Did you ever imagine me saying that? It actually didn't feel cringey or cliche at all - maybe that was due to the certain element of mystery and suspense with the first starting chapters. I wanted to read on and everything about the trope was atypically perfect.

“Jesus,” she whispers, and I can’t tell if it’s a swear or if it’s a prayer

I think the male POV was perfect. I wish I could give the author the biggest cheer because there aren't enough New Adult / Romance books out there that have a singular male POV. It gave a fresh outlook on the story and I loved the little humor and curiosity it added. The inner monologue we got from Sean was amazing and I have no regrets laughing out loud at 2 AM in the morning because I wanted to know how the story ended.

Take Me To Church
I want to start this by giving two shoutouts.
The first one is to this message:

“Well, I do feel like I should mention that I think virginity in general is an arbitrary construct designed by men as a system of control and fear. And it’s heteronormative. And limiting, because why do certain sexual acts preserve virginity and some destroy it? What if I fucked a dildo every night, but I hadn’t fucked a man? Why doesn’t anal sex count? And what if I was with someone and penetration wasn’t an option, for any number of biological or emotional or identity reasons—would that make our sex less somehow? I’d be a virgin forever?”

The second is to the fact that this was a interracial love trope. Now that we don't have racial and heterosexual normality in Young Adult (more times than not), I really want to see it developing in this genre!

But while this book was clearly kinda awesome, I did have certain problems with it. The shortcomings felt like it was a 'it's me not you' thing and I really hope a lot more people read this because it deserves it!

Sinner is a perfect mix of holy and profane which examines carnality and spirituality through the lens of love and loss. It manages to embrace all of these beliefs and shows us how it’s perfectly natural to crave all of it and more. This novel is next level smart and brilliantly filthy. Sierra Simone continues to reign supreme as Queen of love and sex and dreams, while Sean and Zenny will inspire you to be better and love more fully. I highly recommend Sinner.

“Credo ut intelligam: I believe so that I may understand".
Sierra is a delver, diving deep into the abyss of her subject matter and bringing us unparalleled treasures. Her writing style is so subsuming, the entire story just absorbs you like you BELONG there, in the pages. she makes you forget the world, the moment your eyes travel on the words on the first page, you are transported and then firmly transplanted, IN THE BOOK !
No other words to describe how it feels like to read her books except pilgrimage. A spiritual awakening of your senses, till you see the characters right beside you, feel with them, smell them, touch them, love them. It's transcendental and holy.
She explores two of the worlds oldest mysteries, Spirituality and sexuality. They have been studied in detail since the dawn of time, and still hold mystery. While spirituality is more or less about religion and beliefs, and revered openly, sexuality still is whispered and shamed and owning it puts you in a box.

But Zenobia Iverson or Zenny is very clear in her vocation she has chosen for herself. And before she crosses the threshold, she wants one month exploring her body. So who does she approach with an offer he can't refuse- Sean Bell !
They have words for men like me— playboy. Womanizer. Skirt chaser.
I’m a sinner with a dimpled smile and perfect hair, and I know how to make sin feel like heaven.

The month is full of sexual and spiritual revelations which astound both Zenny-bug and Sean The Make Me Doubt Man

The sex is beyond hot, it's soul scorching, will set your body on fire, melting your inhibitions and draining your BoB's batteries multiple times. Which is to be expected of course from a Sierra simone book. She very unapologetically explores sex as a prayer. It's verbiage,it's echoes, it's sounds, it's feels, it's moans, it's sighs, it's uplifting crescendo, it's peaceful stupor, it's soul enveloping euphoria. It's Orgasm of the Alphabets !!
I'm still starving for more of Zenny's curiosity, thirsty for more of Sean's kisses and want to be voyeur a bit longer to their intense passion and forbidden love.
I can't sing enough praises for the book, it's more than a book actually, a sermon, a revelation a communion- one sided apparently, because her pen talks and our eyes listen !
The ONE most important thing that I walked away with, from this book is -self acceptance. Being comfortable in my own desires.
It means recognizing that there’s nothing any less holy about your body than there is about your soul, that as long as your body is treated with consent and respect and affection— and that you treat the bodies of others in the same way— there’s nothing inherently sinful about your flesh. About its desires or lack of desires.
I fell in love with Tyler Bell in Priest, his soul charging love for Red Lipped Poppy.
This brother, Sean, is a step further in his fervour and vehemence in his love for off limits Zenny, because “She’s young, she’s Elijah’s sister, and she wants to be a professional non-sex-haver.”
But his life is already invaded, he has no option but to surrender and negotiate peace. He just didn't count for falling for the invader!!
“I want to build a tower around you, and then build a castle around that tower, and then dig a moat around that castle, and then I want to guard you like a dragon. Burn anyone who tries to hurt you into ash and then scorch those ashes a second time.”
Ahhhhhhhhh to be at the receiving end of this enveloping, obsessive love😍😍
I envied Zenny, as much as I loved her naivetè and innocence, I was so jealous of her . The cutest, perkiest, pert pixie of a girl, who stole Sean right from under our noses❤
So buy this book on release day , open the pages and just forget the world!
Hail Sean! Hail Zenny! Hail Elijah! Hail Sierra! Hail Tyler, Aiden,Ryan, Dad, Mom
Praise the Lord
Let's all be SINNERS!!!
Amen

THIS BOOK YA'LL

I can't sit and write the standard review for the AMAZING words in this book. So many emotions wrapped up in these pages. The words grabbed hold of me from the first page to the final period. MY LOINS were on FIRE and my underwear disintegrated!!!!

GOD PRAY FOR MY SOUL......

Sexy Millionaire Playboy with an appetite for multitude of women, expensive things and a vintage bottle of Macallan 18. Sean Bell had it ALL, the stuff dreams are made of, or so he thought.

God Fearing Women, in Search of becoming a Nun and serving a higher power. On her last night of "FREEDOM" looking to see if this life choice is her true calling. Zenny Iverson, comes from a affluent Black Family, with high exceptions.

Zenny and Sean are a match made in heaven or maybe hell.. The sex scenes were EPIC.... The back and forth between them, makes you sit up and take notice. The age gap and racial difference makes for a interesting banter.

I am a sensitive reader, and this story is very close to my Heart and brought tears to my eyes. Sierra brought out many issues that interracial couples face daily. And did a darn good job, of telling this story so that you were pulling for these two, to make this all work out.

Thank you for taking chance on a taboo story line..... Sierra Simone NEVER disappoints, her writing is diverse, sometimes controversial, but will ALWAYS keep you coming back for more.....

If you think you ready for The SINNER that is Sean Bell.... hmm THINK AGAIN!

SPEECHLESS....JUST SPEECHLESS!! SINNER IS the Mother Of ALL IS HOLY & NAUGHTY! Sierra Simone has Stolen My Heart With her Witty, Filthy and BOLD Words throughout this Scorching Hotness!! 🔥🔥🔥
You think Father Bell is Dirty in PRIEST then you are Wrong! Sean Bell is a devastating handsome arrogant millionaire that wants to rule the world. But then one night, meets a woman that turns his World Upside-down & Inside-out! A Big Playboy of a guy has been brought down to his knees of this Angelic Woman he must know but is too young for him. However with certain events that happens in his life, feels Drawn to her like a Moth To A Flame.
Zenobia Iverson aka Zenny was looking to SEE what life had to offer on her One Night of FREEDOM. She was a making a life choice that would Alter her life since her parents are very highly respected people in society.
Sean and Zenny have a Chemistry together that is Off the Charts HOT! Not to mention, a really big age gap between the two characters and racial differences that they don't seem to matter with each other.
GAH!! Their sex scenes were so extremely Hot & His Dirty talking....Melting My Panties! They are so Compassionately in tune with one another that they had a very interesting banter. I Loved Their relationship and my heart squeezed for them since they both were struggling to find standard ground in their Lives.
SINNER is Beautifully written and it has All the Feels you can ask for in a Sierra Simone BOOK! Their story had me at the Very First chapter alone and COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN! I was Laughing out loud, Swooning, frustrated with Small people's minds and a Blubbering Mess! A Total Emotional Rollercoaster Ride of My Life & Loved Every Minute of It!!
Sean Bell is a Delicious Hot Sex on a Stick with a Dirty Mouth Ready to Sin! He is definitely a SINNER and I Am Not Sorry I Sinned With Him & Zenny!
And Who Knew you Can Use Vegetable Oil in a Way that Sean & Zenny did!! 😉
A MUST READ BOOK THIS YEAR SO FAR!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“I’m going to unbutton these jeans, Zenny,” I tell her. “I’m going to unzip them. Then I’m going to slide my fingers inside your panties and play with what I find there. Yes?”
“Yes,” she breathes, her stomach quivering under my fingertip, and I make good on my word, slowly working the metal jean button through the buttonhole until it pops free.
Zenny gives an answering exhale— shaky but determined. I keep my eyes on her face as I tug the short zipper down , keeping tabs on her expression, on her comfort. Some embarrassment is normal, nerves are to be expected— but there’s a razor-fine balance I need to maintain between giving her what she wants and pushing her too fast. A month just isn’t enough time to do this properly, to cultivate and tend to her blooming lusts. To awaken her body.
If I could ask for anything right now, it would be a year with her. A year of tutoring and teasing and bossing and savoring her. Even a year wouldn’t be enough.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

With a stilted breath, she lowers herself onto the sofa, dark curls like a halo around her head on the cushions and her bra and panties pulling tight against her skin as she arranges herself. And I prowl up to her like a cat, like a predator , like a hungry man coming to a banquet table.
“Should I take off my —” Zenny’s thumbs hook in her panties, but I still her movements with a steely look.
“That’s for me,” I say. “I want it.”
“You want to be the one to take off my underwear?” Her thumbs don’t move, so I squat down beside the sofa and give one little nip with my teeth, which sends her hands up to her chest. And then I keep my mouth at her hip as I speak, letting my breath warm and tickle the skin there.
“I’m not going to take off your underwear. I’m going peel this silk off you like the skin of a fruit, and then I’m going to eat you. I’m going to suck on you like a plum. I’m going to unwrap you like a Christmas present and then you’ll see what a happy boy I am.”

I usually read my books and then write a review as soon as I finish whilst the book is fresh in my head. I just couldn’t with Sinner because I really didn’t know what words to use.

Sure I absolutely loved it. It was filthy, as I would expect from Sierra Simone. The thing I struggled with is how I put in words that I was full on cheering for the nun to get fucked. How do you actually say that without going to hell?

Worse than that the dirtiest, filthiest bit of the book was read in my staff canteen. I felt the need to clean my seat with an antibacterial wipe. Shock and horror - I didn’t. I am going to hell. Luckily I like to be warm. An underworld with no winter? Suits me.

I’m not a religious person but I admire the way that Sierra deals with the question of faith. She presents different view points giving balance but it is very much left to the reader to decide which side they sit on.

I want to sit on Sean Bell’s knee! Or face, face would be good too.

KITTY KATS CRAZY ABOUT BOOKS

‘SINNER’: Is the second book in Sierra Simone’s (Priest) series. If you fell in love with Tyler Bell in ‘Priest’ then without a doubt you are definitely going to love Sean Bell

Thirty six year old Sean is open about the fact that he’s a player about town and he doesn’t hide that fact. He’s never had a relationship and hasn’t been bitten by the love bug. What you see is what you get. His appearance alone gets him any woman he wants, and he’s not above paying for it. From his perfect hair to his dimpled sexy smile he knows how to make sin feel like heaven. He’s as dirty as he is sexy.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

At a gala he meets twenty-one year old Mary aka Zenny, a stunning vixen dressed to kill in red. Their attraction is immediate, it sizzles off the pages, ignites quickly, it’s hotter than sin. She tells him it’s her last night out for a while he’s under the assumption that when college picks up she won’t have any nights free for a long time.

These two have a long history together, which made this story more special than I anticipated, he hasn’t seen Zenny for fourteen years, so at the gala he didn't recognise her at all. She’s his best friends little sister. He’s the boy that used to tie her shoelaces and help her find her barbies when she’d lost them.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

There’s got to be a special hell for men who f#ck their best friends sister, especially when their best friends little sister is much, much too young for the kind of f#cking I like to do.

She’s been pardoned one could say to find her true path in life, to live a little, she wants to experience a sexual relationship for one month and to accomplish that she’s gone to the one man that she trusts and hopes will help her before she decides what path to choose in her life.

She evokes feelings within that send him in a tailspin, we see the confident cocky Sean having the wind knocked out of his sails, he doesn’t know how to handle her.

This was all kinds of hot, it was sinfully seductive, it was dirty, it was addictive.

“I’m a dirty man, sweetheart. I fuck strippers. I’ve taken conference calls with another man’s wife sucking me off under my desk. You think I’m ashamed of my cock? That I’m ashamed of wanting to fuck? Nothing’s further from the truth.”

I touch her lower lip with my thumb, then move to trace that slightly plump upper lip. “This mouth. I want to eat it and fuck it and worship it and abuse it.”

ok this one was IT 👏🏻 I was disappointed by the first book for many different reasons, but I was so excited to get into Sean’s story because I was intrigued by him right away. Let me just say he did NOT let me down. This book was filled with emotion, passion, love & spice. I adored seeing the dynamic of the Bell family and how much Sean cares about everyone around him. I loved to see him change into who he was always meant to be & seeing Zenny guide him there was everything. The emotional, spiritual & physical connection this couple had was amazing to see. This book also dealt with important topics such as racism, faith, religion, mental health & I loved seeing that. I got into the beginning right away, then there were some parts in the middle that were a little bit on the slower side, which is why this isn’t a full 5 star but the ending was an absolute masterpiece.

I also sobbed in the second half but what did we expect honestly.

“pray for us sinners.”

➦So, um... yeah... Trying to write a constructive review after reading Sierra Simone's book:

➦I'll keep this short. This book is hot as fuck. If you like forbidden romances, this has it in spades. Best friend's little sister who's trying real hard to become a nun?

➦But that's not all!

➦There's also a pretty big age gap between these two. He's older. So all of you daddy romance lovers, you are gonna love this one.

➦Oh, and I'm sorry, I almost forgot! The heroine is a virgin. And there might or might not be some sex ed happening between these two.

➦So if I haven't convinced you yet, I don't know what will. If you are religious and feel like you might get offended by this, this would probably be your reaction to the book.

➦But I heard somewhere that people of faith have dirty sex too. :D Long story short, this book has taboo written all over it. If that's what you're looking for, look no further.

You bring me to my knees
You make me testify, uh!
You can make a sinner change his ways, uh!
Open up your gates 'cause I can't wait to see the light, uh!
And right there is where I wanna stay, uh!

'Cause your sex takes me to paradise
Yeah your sex takes me to paradise
And it shows, yeah, yeah, yeah
'Cause you make me feel like, I've been locked out of heaven
For too long, for too long

Bruno Mars

Sean Bell is in trouble. All his adult life and since his sister's death, he was hiding away from his emotions and from love. His brother (do you remember Father Bell from Priest 1?), calls him "Sinner". In his mid thirties and very successful in his job, Sean loves expensive clothes, expensive cars and faceless easy to forget women. He is ruthless and heartless with women and maybe with almost everyone except his family.

So, when his boss asks him to convince a batch of nuns to abandon a shelter that they are using to protect victims of human trafficking, he has no problem with this assignment. Until he realises that he has to negotiate the terms with his best friend's little sister who looks like a sex bomb but she is almost 15 years younger than him, a virgin () and she is about to become a nun.
Sinner Sean Bell will almost be a Saint for her in order to protect her.

Okay, I am sure I don't have to convince you that this book is HAWT. The fact that this is a book written by Sierra Simone, should be enough for you to know what I am talking about. If you have read even just one book by her, you will understand.
I have read everything Sierra Simone has published so far. Everything! I think she is the best writer in the erotica genre. The sensual erotica, the noninsulting, the meaningful, the complicated, the poetic erotica. This book is not an exception.

I love this book not only because it is a wonderful love story and an awesome erotica novel but also at the same time, because it provides deeply philosophical questions/issues:

1. GOD
"Why do you believe in God?"

2. VIRGINITY
"I think virginity in general is an arbitrary construct designed by men as a system of control and fear."

3. DEATH
"Was it hard for you to listen to? Your mom talking about her death?"

4. CHURCH AND PERSONAL BELIEFS
"Is it a problem because you respect my choices and my beliefs? Or because you don't respect my Church?"

5. CHURCH AND MORALITY
"She believes in all this stupid stuff, she's giving her life to the same church that killed my sister."

6. LIFE AND MATERIALISM

Sweet Jesus . . . I finished Sinner days ago and I’m still trying to come up with the words to convey just how much I loved it and Sean Bell.

My emotions are still a mess and holy hell only Sierra can mix god, heartbreak and sex and weave it seamlessly into a brilliant, amazing sexy AF story.

I don’t even know where to start with Sean. He’s no saint. He’s a bit bent and hell bent on making Zenny his—in all ways.

But Zenny has other plans. Other goals and wants. Sure she wants Sean, but he’s not her end goal.

But the two of them together bring out the best in each other—and bring out the best of their dark and dirty parts too. They’re amazing. Smart, sexy, fun and hot as hell. But there’s also a much deeper connection between them. Something neither one predicted or really knows how to handle.

I could continue on with all the accolades that Sinner is due. But, honestly, it’s a book you just need to read to experience all the highs, lows and sexy parts because I’m certain my words fall far short of the brilliance written between the covers. ~ Missy, 5 stars

“I’m a dirty man sweetheart. I fuck strippers. I’ve taken conference calls with another man's wife sucking me off under my desk. You think I’m ashamed of my cock? That I'm ashamed of wanting to fuck? Nothing's further from the truth".

Well someone's a very bad boy and I have to say that I liked it! Sinner gave us a glimpse of the everyday life of a playboy and his non existent relationship with a religion that's failed him, while having the worst temptation for a woman who’s off limits.

Just hearing the name Sean Bell around town would make any woman shiver in best places. His reputation proceeds him and he’s ok with that because being the best, has never felt so good. But when he meets a woman that is untouchable in every sense of the word, it’s going to take more than good looks to get with this girl. Better yet…. More like an act of god.

At a young age, Zenny has always known the path that she's wanted to take when it came to her future. Others might have tried to steer her clear of her future occupation, but Zenny knew where her heart belong. But sometimes in life, the unexpected happens and when it comes in form of Sean Bell, there is nothing you can do but embrace it. Or make a deal.

I really loved the sexual tension in this book! You felt the desire and want as if it was a light caress on your skin and to me, that was sexy. Sean knew that Zenny was different from the moment he saw her and he took his time with EVERYTHING when it came to her. These two were the opposite of each other when it came to their careers but they blended so perfectly! Now don’t get me wrong, I did have some issues with certain parts of the story but Sean and Zenny made up for it. I felt their love, the uncertainty, and their connection. These two were perfect for each other in every way and it showed.

If you’re looking for hot sexy forbidden romance, you should give this one a try.

This book gave what it was selling but also was surprisingly progressive in addressing matters like death, faith, sex and the church, guilt, belief/non belief and race. Priest touched on some of these things but I feel like this book leaned more in to these subjects.

Don't get me wrong the smut is still the starring character of the book, and it is done VERY well!😂 But I really liked these pondering questions that were presented throughout the story. You don't have to agree with them but it's interesting to question things that have been engrained in our culture through the church, gender identities/politics and stereotypes.

That being said,.... none of these people in this series have any business being priests, nuns or otherwise😂 It's absurd, but we are going to look the other way in order to fulfill the "narrative" Also these Bell men are made of a different stuff! Holy Crap! (see what I did there?) 😜

Sierra Simone is incredibly gifted as a writer, her prose are some of the most beautiful I have read the emotion grips you right in the heart and it's very human. 💙💙

Well, well, well… If you want to know my honest-girl thing, I loved this book more than I loved the first one. By the end of 2023, I can easily say that this book will be in my top 5 and we are not even halfway through yet.

Locked Out of Heaven by Bruno Mars will never sound the same to me. ♡

Sinner is the sequel to Priest, one of the first taboo books I read. So of course I jumped at the opportunity to read this book and meet a real Sinner aka Sean Bell. And I can say will full certainty that it did not disappoint.

Comparing it to it's predecessor, it wasn't as hot or taboo. But this story still delivered an amazing amount of unique hotness that had me captivated from page one. Told mostly in Sean's POV we got to to see the inner struggle he went through while he was trying to keep himself away from the ultimate sin. Zenobia.

I found this story to be super intriguing because I honestly had no idea what would happen between Sean and Zenny. I liked that it kept me on edge the whole time as I tried to figure the ending out all while delivering some steamy scenes between these two. I thought their chemistry was very well written, it was always right there on the surface but it wasn't until Sean gave in to the sexual tension that the sparks started flying.

Overall, if you're looking for a book full of heat and completely unlike any other than this is the one for you. It can be read as a standalone with no problem but of course since I'm still in love with Father Bell, I'll recommend reading Priest if you haven't already.

My review will be in the minority and I have waited to post my review out of respect. So here it goes......

First, I must say wholeheartedly, Sierra Simone writes beautifully. The intricacies of sexuality and religion are woven quite expertly throughout this story. The struggles of belief and faith battle with the present of belief and faith. It’s a painfully visually struggle between the two sides because of the background of the past. And I liked how the author infuses the story with battling religious views.

I will say that I love the hero, Sean Bell. He’s 36, he’s very successful, he loves his family and friends, but has had tragedy in his life and has turned his back on religion. Having lost someone in his life and now fixing to lose another, he has a war raging within himself. And so what I really enjoyed most in the story was Sean’s struggle with his religion, his demons, his responsibilities to his family and the health of his mom.

Next, the heroine is Zenobia “Zenny” Iverson, age 21, the young virgin, soon to be nun, and sister of his best friend. I could never fully connect with her. The more I read the more disconnect I felt. And so the connection between Sean and Zenny felt misaligned. There was lots of sex but it didn’t feel right. Maybe the age difference, maybe the youngness of the heroine, maybe the insta-lust, maybe the premise of being together for a month and then going off to be a nun and Sean returning to his daily routine.......it just all didn’t work for me.

There are many glowing reviews of Sinners. I am a big fan of Sierra Simone but sadly for me, I struggled with this book.

They have words for men like me—playboy. Womanizer. Skirt chaser.
My brother used to be a priest, and he only has one word for me.
Sinner.

So, erm, if anyone needs me, I'll just be over here in the corner icing my ovaries. Because this book? Set those suckers on FIRE! I mean, sweet baby jesus. Pun intended. But seriously though. Hot damn. Just...hot damn.
As with everything, she is a contradiction. Artless and deliberate, embarrassed but driven past caring.

First of all, that blurb is vague as hell. And if you truly want to enjoy this book to its fullest, keep it that way. You do NOT want to know who the heroine is, or what exactly the taboo element of the story is. It's so much better to have it unravel for you as you read. That much more delicious too. And let me tell you, it's SO delicious.

Sierra Simone wrote one emotionally packed and erotically charged forbidden romance, and this girl loved every sizzling page of it. It was so much more than just smoking' hot. It was brimming with passion and emotion with a perfect amount of feels to make you completely invested in everything happening to the characters. It was multi-layered, perfectly paced, and hot enough to singe your kindle. It was nothing like what I expected and yet it hit the spot SO right.
Jesus Christ. And I am shaking. I’m shaking because I need to fuck, I’m shaking because the woman I need to fuck is a woman I’m feeling insane things for

If you loved Priest, you need to read Sinner.

I swear! It’s the books I never intend to read that end up being my favorite. Not only is this my favorite so far (I’m still holding out for Saint and what’s to come for the youngest Bell brother) in the series. It’s my favorite by this author.

Sean is super cocky, normally that would get on my nerves but he’s the best dirty talker ever so I can overlook it.

Sierra’s stories don’t always take place in Kansas City but it’s awesome when they do. It’s fun hearing about all these places I’m aware of or have been to.

Even though this is sinfully salacious, some of the best steam even by this writer’s standards. There’s a giant moral to this story; if you read Priest, you know what happened to the boy’s sister. Because of that Sean has always equated sex with wrong, he never had a relationship, he didn’t date and he only slept with women who for lack of a better term were morally corrupt already.

Through this story, through being with a girl who is on the cusp of becoming a nun and through the advice of his brother Father Bell he has an awakening. Sex in itself isn’t sinful or wrong, it’s beautiful if it’s with the right person. And Zenny? She’s that person for him. The irony is she wants to marry God.

Goddam it! I’ve been hit left and right with the hottest dirty talk, the steamiest scenes that I don’t think I’ve ever been this hot and bothered. So on top of that you need to break my heart by having him fall head over heels in love with the girl that’s already taken?! By Jesus?! 🥺

Seriously?! Everything about this book was perfect, I almost loved Zinny as much as I loved Sean but then she had to break my boy’s heart a couple times because apparently he’s selfish for loving her and she’s not a coward. In my mind she’s the one who’s selfish and petty, you heard me. Her reasons for continuing on this path despite the love they share was petty.

So, I will grudgingly admit that certain people that shall not be named have been forgiven. Only because it’s the Christian thing to do. 😝

I am not exaggerating when I say that SINNER might be the best romance I've ever read.

It is a powerful erotic inspirational romance that twists and turns and evolves on the page from one simple thing to something beautifully complex. While SINNER is in the PRIEST series -- the hero is the brother of the hero of PRIEST, and the heroine is his best friend's little sister, who is one month from taking her vows to become a nun -- it can easily be read as a standalone, but if you're interested in the way an author evolves her craft, I encourage you to read PRIEST first, which is a fabulous book. SINNER, however, is the natural progression of PRIEST -- equally erotic, but beautifully elevated to a meditation on faith, on love, on sexual desire, on family, on responsibility, on sacrifice. It's stunning, and a perfect example of what romance writers can make this genre do.

Highly, highly recommended.

Honestly, I enjoyed reading this for the most part.

But I had a few issues:

Hero was bitter and whined a lot about "God." Which I found irritating.

Because it wasn't clear, from the beginning,

whether he "hated" God, which would mean he believes in God,

or whether he "didn't believe" in God, which would mean he's an atheist,

or whether he just "didn't WANT to believe" in God, which would still makes him religious but just bitter about it,

Or whether he DID believe in God...?

I hated every time he complained about how awful God is to let all these things happen to him, but went on into the next scene to flat out say he didn't believe in God...

Huh?

What?!

I mean, man, which is it!?

Do you, or do you not believe in God?

It's one or the other... can't be both.

The love story was good. Not great. It could have been better. There could have been more at stake, I think.

For example, the heroine should have been a full nun, not someone who was ABOUT to become a nun... Just like in the previous book where the male character was a FULL priest.

I just think Sierra could have done more with this story, but she opted not to.

I will give this a 2.5 star because I love the writing. Sierra's writing is always up to par with that.

I just didn't like how limited the story felt and didn't like one of the characters very much. He was very confused, so as a reader, I was also left confused, and not in the good/suspenseful way you're supposed to feel when you're reading, lol.

Also, Sidenote and a PSA to authors who want to write black heroines. That's great. That's awesome. Love that, and I will always pick up a romance book with a black heroine.

But please, please, please, I beg. Stop making racism a thing whenever the heroine is black.

I do not care for a racism storyline/plot/scene etc.

I do not want it in my romance books!!

I just want to read about the heroine falling in love, just like the gazillions whites heroines get to.

Racism is so cringe. Stop putting it, talking about it in romance books, especially when the heroine is black.

(This is about a scene in this book wherein the heoine experiences racism/microagression or whatever.)

Please stop putting this racism shit in romance books.

Just let my heroine be black and fall in love in peace.

I'll let you pick a reason as to why I've decided to read this.
I've ran out of excuses and I can't keep blaming Koisty.
Just know that, smut aside, I didn't really enjoy this and ended up skimming the last 30%.
The steamy scenes were a little cingey but overall pretty hot (although Sean does talk too much). The rest, unfortunately, I found dry af.
I liked Zenny and the fact that this was from a MMC pov, and Simone's writing is not bad in the end, but I wasn't impressed.

4 I Wanna Sin With Sean stars!!

This was my first read from Sierra Simone and I finally get what all the hype is about. I’m still gonna skip her Camelot series because it’s not for me, but this.... this book... freaking fantastic!!

Sean Bell was a phenomenal character to get to know. At first he came off as one smooth operator. A man full of charm, good looks, and the intelligence necessary to accomplish all that he did and to live the lifestyle that he led. In his own words, What do I believe in? Money. Sex. Macallan 18. But as the story progressed, his character became deeper. I was able to see the infinite layers that made this man the incredible person he was. He was a family man. I loved his relationship with his brothers, especially in light of the anguish they were all dealing with. I loved how accepting and open he was with his brothers and his feelings. I have to say I was impressed many times with his honesty. And then there was the sin he was most willing to commit - to turn a young postulant into his filthy companion. It. Was. HAWT!!

So I’m a convert. Well, a Sierra Simone convert at least. She’s found a new fan of her writing in me. I’ve already one-clicked Priest because I’m fascinated with Tyler’s taboo story. I honestly wish I could spend more time with Sean and his intriguing mind and I can only hope to see him again.
